much'preciate ye takin the time to read these things. you'll notice that for the volume of stuff i've posted here(DUP), veryvery fe[font=Times New Roman]w are willing (?able?) to comment.
mindfuck? well, only if viewed thru the narrow perception-peephole that we've all been conditioned to use to guard our delusion of Real World / Real Life / Reality......
Art should challenge the perceptions of both your audience & yourSelf.
If you're (consciously or not) trying to "please" the crowd, or play TO their egos, (to embellish your own - which is what happens on sites like this), or in hope of 'being paid', then you're a 'craft' person, which is okay if your doing wit a conscious 'awareness' of it & not tryin to pawn yrself off as Deep, but so what?
there are some artists who can be both challenging & profitable, (BEFORE they're Dead). Bukowski, Picasso, Dylan, Warhol, Miles Davis, Beatles, Coltrane, Allen Ginsberg, to name a few, but that usually only happens 'accidentally'. the vast majority of 'challenging' artists will only reap obscurity,madness,&/or the insanity& personal demise of addiction/alcohol, that is if they allow their Egos to stay 'unAccepting', & keep clinging to eXpectations of somekinda silly Glory.
