Broken Wings

The sign of light cast upon the sand, a sin lost down the passage of oblivion and obscurity
Masked saint like figures falling from the heavens, broken wings twisted and blood soaked
My own personal kingdom, ensured by the worship of grey shadows drawn in chalk and bone

In faith, in kingdoms of safety. It’s too late to find my castle
I sit on the fence biding my time, time pushes my perception
Perception guides my actions, my actions are frowned upon
Tall figure heads encircle me, they point their pointy fingers
They hold my gaze, though their eyes were gouged long ago
Their gaze is warped; their gaze is obscure to me, imprudent
The sheep flocks are hypnotized, they stare into wise eyes
Where war is peace and truth is a constant spitting of lies

Through flaming skies and thick black smog Lucifer rises
No longer undone, no longer so weak, the state it despises
Broken wings, to replace kings
Broken wings, to pull the strings
Behind this things suit and tie
You will uproot its ghastly lie
The Thorne, the power is no longer clear
Perhaps the hour of gas and fear is near
Massive clouds of poison and blight rain their resent upon Terra’s surface
Masses of roaches take plight baptized in frankincense with a deadly lace
Erase the order and the orange sun
Taste the slaughter and overcome
Drink the tainted water and songs long left unsung
Or kick the painted consorter whose neck was wrung
Make madmen fear through fear itself
And expect violence to sit upon the shelf
Broken bones and sacred things
Invisible thrones and broken wings
It ain’t over till the jet engine sings
The anew angel of death flies
Fuelled by fear draped in despise
Wings of broken down elements
Will write the unread testaments
About the men that came and went
Took their world and left it spent
The age before they comprehend
Terra remain, she will always mend
