Now Mummy’s Gone
I don’t like to see you cry daddy it makes me feel so sad
Since the cancer took my mummy the best friend I ever had,
I remember she would chase me when she caught me she would tickle
She would pull me close and hug me and we both would start to giggle.
I wish that I could hold her I miss her very much
Her big warm friendly smile her warm and tender touch,
She is sitting with the angels now and looking down from high
And when I go to bed at night I look up to the sky.
I see the stars there’s one that twinkles
“THERE’S MUMMY”! Then I cry,
I think of all the love she gave
The tears fall from my eyes.
Don’t worry I’ll look after daddy
I tell her at her grave,
I love you mummy I always will
And I promise to be brave.
