the end
no blood of a lamb
painted above your door
will save any of you
an upside "4" will be painted in blood
on your foreheads
while you sleep
by the ghosts of the children
who were taken before you
you are all marked for death
and death
with the skull of a ram for a head
and breasts and a cunt that leak blood
will take you away from your homes
if I leave early
this amputee will sprout wings
no longer in need of what has been taken from him
and he will rise from his own suicide
with the head of a dragon
and be by his side
his queen
his whore
whose life he took
in a ritual of psychedelics
and rape
and her head
that of a devil's
the three of us will become gods of a kind
and take what we want
in those last days
preceding the end
if I leave early
guardians of the sky
have wisdom in your hearts
to keep me
and keep me fulfilled
doped up
or fucked
or I will take you all down
and make you hurt
more than fire
more than suffocation
before time runs out
for everything

A beautiful howl at the moon, Nathan, an angry and deliciously psychotic work, which mixes horror with personal reflection so well. I loved this bit:
"whose life he took
in a ritual of psychedelics
and rape"
Reminds me a bit of what Anne Sexton once told her daughter about how the sound of the word can be more important than it's meaning. "Ritual of psychedelics and rape" just rolls off the tongue in a wonderful, cushiony manner.

deliciously psychotic, I like that.. thanks.. and as for the sound of a word (or line) being more than just the meaning it's like a poem within a poem.. not just words but rhythm.. a second life.. thank you jack

thats awesome man I really appreciate the support.. theres 261 poems of mine on here.. and adding more almost every day.. hope you can keep up ;) but yeah it would be awesome if you read all my stuff.. tons of dark shit.. some mediocre stuff (which is to be expected by anyone) and some lovely dovey stuff.. im very diverse in my writing as well as the other art I do.. to whore myself out also check out http://tatuued.deviantart.com though you have to be a member to see my really sick shit because they dont allow guests to view the obscene content warnings on them and If i dont put them on there the fucking higher ups on deviant art will take my art off the site.. its happened 4 times now.. fuckers dont seem to understand what deviant means

The mood that comes across to me is despair, but at no point in the reading did I want to stop. You've gained a fan today.
