A Study in D

Dire direction.
Disaffected disciple digesting death.
Defeating diffidence diminishing diligence.
Desperate destination of destiny destroyed.

  -Detached desert-
Deserves derelict.
Derelict didn't delete despised despot.
Despot does deep damage depressing desires; darkening distance.
Derelict must ditch despot; despot of -despondent - demoralized - demure - deflated - deficient - deprived - deranged.

Down in the dearth of my debris,
Deadened by the deadly deaf deacon (of my doughnut-hole soul)
Declaiming declivity. I decline. I deduce deception. I denounce decree.
Defrauded, deformed, despondent - I must deface my diagnosis.
Defuse, defy it; dismiss my demise.

Draconian doubt delimits; drowns in dusk.
'Demanding' dreamy delight dwells in dawn.

I dream of a new dawn and I hope that the wave of terror will drown in the dusk. I can still feel it behind me, but hopefully last time it crashed down on me will be the last time that it ever does.
