Every Petal Withers
So soft the caress of wind
Against the fragile petal
Decrepit from the stem
It rusts like eroded metal
So skillfully it dances
Amidst the fires breeze
I watched it inhale acid
And vomit as it wheezed
It's weary lungs grow weak
So tired from the ashes
It blooms no more it seems
The struggle did leave gashes
Upon it's tendrils leaves
In pain it died atop of me
For I clipped it from it's tomb
And crushed it in my hand, forever potpourri
Against the fragile petal
Decrepit from the stem
It rusts like eroded metal
So skillfully it dances
Amidst the fires breeze
I watched it inhale acid
And vomit as it wheezed
It's weary lungs grow weak
So tired from the ashes
It blooms no more it seems
The struggle did leave gashes
Upon it's tendrils leaves
In pain it died atop of me
For I clipped it from it's tomb
And crushed it in my hand, forever potpourri
