The Revival Show

I gave my heart to Jesus,
many years ago.
It was at a revival,
toward the end of the show.

A man came up and said,
"Brother just come on in,
and let the blood of Jesus,
just wash away that sin."

And when I walked on in,
I could see it happening.
People were dancing
and raising their arms in the air.
(LIKE THEY JUST DIDN'T CARE!!)

They were shouting "Praise the lord!"
(PRAISE THE LORD!!)
They were swinging to and fro!
(PRAISE THE LORD!!)
They were laughing and singing
and simply praising the lord!
(PRAISE THE LORD!!)

Hallalujah thank you Christ,
Heaven will be so nice,
now that you know my name.
I will live like I believe,
I won't cower or deceive,
and my life will never be the same.
(PRAISE THE LORD!!)

My head began to spin,
I didn't know what was happening.
Next thing I knew,
that man was back again.

(HE SAID!!)
"My name is Father Dunn,
And I've been where your coming from.
Just take a seat,
because we've only just begun."

"The Lord won't be beat,
so stop beating up yourself.
Your only a sinner,
But you can be so much else.

Stop trying to be,
something your not.
Your wearing yourself out,
trying to keep ahead of the lot.

Just slow on down
and let Jesus in,
surrender your worries,
and start living again."

So, I gave my heart to Jesus,
at that revival show.
I made up my mind,
to fight no more.

I started to say hello,
and I started to care some more,
and before I knew it,
Jesus had my soul!!
