Straightforward and yet beautiful poem, without artifice or pretension, like a simple, poetic statement of fact. This is how it is. To die together is more romantic than to live by each other's side for all eternity. Your brushstrokes here are sparse and grey, an entrancing postcard, or an all-too-brief glimpse, through the slits of a shuttered window, at some enormous, bleak landscape. If I'm rambling, that's just further evidence of how much I like this poem.

you know how occasionally I'll take little bits of our conversations or something I've written in a comment to you and turn it into a poem (I do this with others as well) you should think about taking some out of your comments and turning them into poems because I'll tell you honestly some of the comments you write are as good as the poems you're writing them about.. so a compliment back to you bud.. and thank you so much.. cheers!

it somehow reminds me of the tragedy of romeo and juliet though in their case was a drug. how painfully beautiful!

oh definitely similar to the romeo and juliet scenario except instead of the drama of one thinking falsely the other was dead so dies then the other wakes up and dies because their lover is dead.. I surpass that and just have them both die at the same time.. by will and wits end alone.. much more romantic than the romeo and juliet them but dont tell shakespear I said that
