Duel with Fate

While at feast with you my bosom friends
I recalled the while of growth in pains;
In that dark hole with no suns nor rains
Where we once drank to a toast of mutual gains

Once, you were never dissuaded by hurting cold
Nor by ragged cloaks clad about our skins
Such garments we wore as emeralds of gold
A sign of true comradeship in the souls of mountains

We have known the hot springs flowing from our eyes
Sometimes they fall in drops or in a surging pool
Before us are witnesses; the dust and the skies
They outlive years of many thoughts in school

We have seen the end of our endless journey
So far the enemies of fulfillments await
For this I ask you all; not for a tumultuous tourney
But a selfless duel to twist the hands of fate
