Still the bar is set too far
Still the beating of your heart
Still the judgement on your soul
It takes a toll
It takes it's hold
It stakes it's claim
And you will be no more
Just let go of the pressures
And say what's in your heart
It's a feeling you can't start
to understand
Don't let them
undermine
Or undersell your confidence
YOur sense of who you are
It is important
That you be
Who you set out to be
The hero of your story
Can't be anyone but you

I feel this poem could easily be a message to yourself even though it's written in the context of somebody else. This write has a vision of self belief about it.
