To: A dear friend

Why do you cry, troubled soul?
Why do you weep, broken heart?
Is it for the hole?
The one so void of love and art?

He took it with him, did he not?
He left shamelessly, did he not?
Why do you still mourn for him?
It will be him that YOU forgot.

I know, dear friend, of the things that were said.
Promises of happiness and joy.
I know, dear friend, of the things that he led.
Of the picnics and pictures he employed.

Listen to my advice.
Forget him and his fantasies.
Don't cry and be strong.

Cutting will not help, believe me,
I still have the scars of my own past.
Pills will not help, believe me,
They only make you weaker.

Dear friend,
Trust me,
It was a thread never meant to be,
And was cut just as such.

Dear friend,
Trust me.
If not me,
Ask your God.
Perhaps he will say the same.

---There is no such thing as one deserving another, there are only boons granted by our gods. Sometimes they are temporary, others permanent. If it is temporary, then enjoy it while you can, for life will go on!
