Moments Before Sunrise
Almond eyes flicker with the fire of a hundred stars,
Piercing through the depths of night.
The moon he wears like a halo,
A crown for the poor and the forgotten.
The stars twinkle their silent applause as he rises -
Trees ripple with every movement, every heartbeat -
And then, just like that,
He is gone,
No trace,
The stars vow their silence,
And all melts back into day.
The first glimpse of sunlight floods the land.
Piercing through the depths of night.
The moon he wears like a halo,
A crown for the poor and the forgotten.
The stars twinkle their silent applause as he rises -
Trees ripple with every movement, every heartbeat -
And then, just like that,
He is gone,
No trace,
The stars vow their silence,
And all melts back into day.
The first glimpse of sunlight floods the land.
