The dabbler
I really shouldn’t dabble,
Cause the dabbler never makes it,
I will make up for my flaws in time,
I can do that better naked,
Best to start it all brand new,
Than to try and fix the wreckage,
There are too many missing pieces,
And I’d rather not correct them,
Cause doing so, would be admitting my wrongs,
To look in the mirror, and wish I was gone,
I’m a dabbler,
I dabble in hearts
I really shouldn’t Dabble
Cause the Dabbler never makes it
I will make up for my flaws in time
I can do that better naked
And before I perfect my perfect nature
Accept that that’s indifferent
To everything I’ve ever been
I’m changing, and I mean it.
Cause the dabbler never makes it,
I will make up for my flaws in time,
I can do that better naked,
Best to start it all brand new,
Than to try and fix the wreckage,
There are too many missing pieces,
And I’d rather not correct them,
Cause doing so, would be admitting my wrongs,
To look in the mirror, and wish I was gone,
I’m a dabbler,
I dabble in hearts
I really shouldn’t Dabble
Cause the Dabbler never makes it
I will make up for my flaws in time
I can do that better naked
And before I perfect my perfect nature
Accept that that’s indifferent
To everything I’ve ever been
I’m changing, and I mean it.
