The Beauty in Him
You take away the dark
And leave me with the light
You take away the pain
And leave me with your name
I havent heard a sweeter sound
Much sweeter than your voice
I haven't known a softer touch
More loving than your hands
You make my way for me
And how can I but follow
You have only ever shown me kindness
But I have strayed time and time again
You never left my side though
And I can not pretend
That Lord, Oh God, My savior
Where would I have been
Had it not been for you
I would be forgotten, lost, and alone
But now I see the light, my God
And all I know now is happiness
A happiness that you gave me
How come I couldn't have seen it sooner
How could I not have known
That you have been there all along
Carrying me through my storms
And once again, your light pervades
My ever waking thoughts
And I think of how beautiful life is
And how you made it so
And I know now that all along
It is was you staying by my side
And I just want to thank you Lord
For giving me this life
And leave me with the light
You take away the pain
And leave me with your name
I havent heard a sweeter sound
Much sweeter than your voice
I haven't known a softer touch
More loving than your hands
You make my way for me
And how can I but follow
You have only ever shown me kindness
But I have strayed time and time again
You never left my side though
And I can not pretend
That Lord, Oh God, My savior
Where would I have been
Had it not been for you
I would be forgotten, lost, and alone
But now I see the light, my God
And all I know now is happiness
A happiness that you gave me
How come I couldn't have seen it sooner
How could I not have known
That you have been there all along
Carrying me through my storms
And once again, your light pervades
My ever waking thoughts
And I think of how beautiful life is
And how you made it so
And I know now that all along
It is was you staying by my side
And I just want to thank you Lord
For giving me this life
