Life In A Nutshell
I’m not the same anymore
Dark days bring light to me
And I wish to stay inside
Counting down until liftoff
She’s not the same anymore
Watching it all kill itself
She takes pride in knowing
It won’t be her this time
He’s not the same anymore
Breaking his back for laughs
And his silence tells it all
A bit past the point of sick
They’re not the same anymore
A time when they’d relish it
Now curse it, want it to leave
And never come back
It’s not the same anymore
Repetition and alcohol
Some pills to numb, forget
And some how’s yer father
We’re not the same anymore
Thought we’d be better at this
How foolish we were
How foolish we are
I’m not the same anymore
And you’d really like to know
What it’s all about?
