AFTER- LIFE

20 steps up to the pearly gates
-someone counted and wrote it in a book.
God awaits in a dress
as we negotiate
our loyalty among the others that will look.

kings and queens make their mark
by events that change a world;
- and laws become the guidelines
for every boy and girl.

Led always by the hand
and seldom by the voice,
billboards of society
don't offer any choice.

We do what we are told
or we will not survive.
So, I ask , do you believe
that there is an after-life??
