carpet puppet

It had been given when there wasn’t much else needed,
presence filled the room,
on the first floor when at times, a man, scissors in hand
hides behind the door. a pattern consumed by the randomness of uneven footfall.
In the corner
held by a wall, an Open book shelved face down
unreadable,
an unusual type,
the time to turn without tearing would command softest touches
as mothers hands... as a beach towel on hot sand...
as sun kissed Snog.
