Drink To Be Merry

Let’s drink to good times but also the bad times too.
Let’s salute the mechanics of this wondrous sky.
To taste this liquor is to taste a piece of heaven in all its infinite complexity and misapprehension.
Let’s succumb to drunken folly.
And bollocks to sadness and melancholy
Some drink to remember some drink to forget
And me? I drink for I am only human, it’s what is expected I suppose?
An infant in understanding,
But a god in this utopia, of drunken good standing.
All come give an offering to the lord of the dance
And dance in the eye’s of much merriment
Let logic and luck become random let our body’s become thunderstruck in tandem.
As the floor becomes the sky
Let us sing for our supper.
There will be no hangover; memories never forgotten tomorrow morning is a lifetime away.
Destiny has made us equal
This night can last forever, held in an infinite grasp.
In this mecca of merriment no one is alone.
Rise up from your stools and tables and join me in a toast.
Raise your hands and punch the air
Sing like you have never sung before
..And I’ll see you somewhere in the dance.
Dance to drink
And drink to be merry.
