Numb
I feel numb
Like the feeling
Of coarse rubber
I can't be sure
Where my skin ends
And the 'rubber' begins
It is the rigor mortis
Sensation of a deadened tongue
The taste buds
Like sand-paper
Brushing gently across the top of my mouth
After inhaling off of the dry crust
Of anti-perspirant deo
On a spray-bleached towel
The numbness causes
The motion of your jaw/lip
To be akin to that
Of a dead fish...
Like the feeling
Of coarse rubber
I can't be sure
Where my skin ends
And the 'rubber' begins
It is the rigor mortis
Sensation of a deadened tongue
The taste buds
Like sand-paper
Brushing gently across the top of my mouth
After inhaling off of the dry crust
Of anti-perspirant deo
On a spray-bleached towel
The numbness causes
The motion of your jaw/lip
To be akin to that
Of a dead fish...
