Stranded
There's a certain heaviness on my chest
Followed by stress
They haven't seen the beacon yet
But what should I expect?
Soothing melodies can settle the soul
An isolated stroll
Sunrise
Radiant glow
An omnipresent woe
Take away the tears
A boat floated by
I wasn't standing near the piers
I've been standing here for years
Search and rescue failed to notice me twice
I blazed a fire in the night
But they can't see the light
I just might try to swim across the ocean
I've been up and down the coast
And still I don't see any motion
But I'm still steady hoping
Cause I mustn't lose the faith
And as long as I pray
Someone will come and save the day
Followed by stress
They haven't seen the beacon yet
But what should I expect?
Soothing melodies can settle the soul
An isolated stroll
Sunrise
Radiant glow
An omnipresent woe
Take away the tears
A boat floated by
I wasn't standing near the piers
I've been standing here for years
Search and rescue failed to notice me twice
I blazed a fire in the night
But they can't see the light
I just might try to swim across the ocean
I've been up and down the coast
And still I don't see any motion
But I'm still steady hoping
Cause I mustn't lose the faith
And as long as I pray
Someone will come and save the day
