Beauty
I look in the mirror
I admire what I see
My beautiful figure
As full or slim as it needs to be
Eat more?
Lose weight?
Who says I must be a certain weight? You? The magazine?
Do you know those things aren't real
Those things instilled in you aren't true
They've been brushed over, cropped, chopped and screwed
You are as real as it gets
Love your curves, love your hips, love your petiteness, love your size
You define your own beauty
So yes, I will claim mine
Whether slim or thick I will be so, happily
What you see in those pages are no match for me
My beauty resides deep down in me
I'm the queen of my thang
I admire what I see
My beautiful figure
As full or slim as it needs to be
Eat more?
Lose weight?
Who says I must be a certain weight? You? The magazine?
Do you know those things aren't real
Those things instilled in you aren't true
They've been brushed over, cropped, chopped and screwed
You are as real as it gets
Love your curves, love your hips, love your petiteness, love your size
You define your own beauty
So yes, I will claim mine
Whether slim or thick I will be so, happily
What you see in those pages are no match for me
My beauty resides deep down in me
I'm the queen of my thang
