I'm one of them
a honky
the white devil
in a way
though I don't associate with anyone that
claims allegence with all that stupid horse shit song and dance
I'm not an american I just live here
I'm a poet in a savage land
I don't belong here
I am not part of this country
I am not part of this world
I am not part of this universe
I was placed here against my will
at some point in the undefined
but thoroughly defiled past
this is a prison
and the worst kind
and I'm a lifer
a cracker in an ever diminishing population of minority
and only breaking the right walls of my skin
into the fattest artery
or swallowing passed the L.D. 50
will get me out of this shit parade
this sad fucking joke of an organized
and civilized community
fuck you all
I will cut your faces
so I can see how your souls look

I remember thinking that your comment on my poem "Epitaph" sounded like poetry, and I'm so pleased that you used that "savage land" line; that one's a smasher. As for the rest, it's a stinging attack on the shallowness of the modern world, and how anyone with even a remote sense of originality, madness or talent can feel isolated.

yeah my comment on your poem was what inspired this one.. yeah isolation.. but we're all really isolated no one quite experiences life exactly like the next person.. and of course we all die alone even if we're holding hands with someone.. the experience is lonely.. glad you dig the savage land line I like that one too

such clearheaded sense in this one nathan, the whole fucking machine just wants puppets who buy every damned cliche that it dishes out on a daily basis,love the line Jack has already mentioned.The loneliness of the human spirit is perhaps the only truth, i can relate to this one a lot.

thanks so much.. yeah this world is a shitty one.. aren't enough bad words to be said about it.. like there aren't enough good words that can be said about say love or lust..

I'm glad you posted this poem and the other, cause I know you weren't sure about them, but those last two lines, that kind of final threat, that's your dark stuff at its best, it's brilliant.

im glad you approve of my submitting these I wasn't sure of.. sometimes Im not sure if they'll find a place here on this site and sometimes I'm just not sure if theyre good enough.. glad you dig them.. your opinion is important
