You tell me it's through
Like it's left on your things to do
Trying to seem simple and clean
Instead ending up plain old mean
Then when I'm over you
You come running back to
I don't want any part
Of you ripping me apart
Again and again over and over
I get come back to like a leftover
Boys don't understand
That there's a small demand
One guy waiting to stay around
Lurking without uttering a sound
Hiding in the shadows about
Waiting to come out
The one boy that made the waiting worth
Waiting for years for one boy
The one that will stay around
Who had the nerve to fix the sound
To change a broken girl
And steal her heart in one whirl
Both fixed finally
Love blossoms eventually
Like it's left on your things to do
Trying to seem simple and clean
Instead ending up plain old mean
Then when I'm over you
You come running back to
I don't want any part
Of you ripping me apart
Again and again over and over
I get come back to like a leftover
Boys don't understand
That there's a small demand
One guy waiting to stay around
Lurking without uttering a sound
Hiding in the shadows about
Waiting to come out
The one boy that made the waiting worth
Waiting for years for one boy
The one that will stay around
Who had the nerve to fix the sound
To change a broken girl
And steal her heart in one whirl
Both fixed finally
Love blossoms eventually
