The panorama,
Almost painful to purvey
A sight for sore eyes
Shaded by haze hewn horizons
Fetid lakes
The product of a fallout
Undulating fields
The picture of rustic beauty
On closer inspection...
It's slightly twisted
But all the more scarring for it,
Aspects assimilated
From a heretofore un-ashed earth.
