On-Looker
I guess it is safe to assert a description
on a hardy and vexed onlooker as a man
soaked knee-deep in a flowing green
water of mild intelligent envy
Supposedly standing graciously, fingers
in mouth
biting on jagged bleeding nails
And drenched to the skin by a rain of
ignorance
Not wanting and not needing anything.
Nothing at all-
Nothing except to see shame and
embarrassment and disgrace and pain
and grief and abject sadness;
It is disgust he feels when his eye
falls on a something unto care or love
His eye sees no light-
It is covered by darkness approaching
from every direction
