The Title of Your Favorite Show
Isn't it funny how my head got so big
And aint it funny how you stuck around
I knew the day was fast a coming
The day you would walk right out of town
I saw it going a little differently
You and I ending and beginning like eternity
We shared couches and coffee tables
Along with streets, sidewalks and memories
You told me you loved me
And I told you forever
Do you remember lying on the floor?
Hearts beating in unison
Palms sweaty
You were absolutely captivating while evading all of my questions
That's when I knew
Knew without a doubt
You and I were meant to be
We shared books and movie scenes
Along with friends, vacations and memories
You told me you loved me
And I told you forever
The afternoon you took flight
I suffered the tragedy of a shattered heart
You left me with words that said everything
I hid with a backwards smile that said nothing
We were utterly broken
It was over and you had spoken
We shared love and hate
Along with dishonesty, hope and memories
You told me you would always love me
And I told you forever
And aint it funny how you stuck around
I knew the day was fast a coming
The day you would walk right out of town
I saw it going a little differently
You and I ending and beginning like eternity
We shared couches and coffee tables
Along with streets, sidewalks and memories
You told me you loved me
And I told you forever
Do you remember lying on the floor?
Hearts beating in unison
