Scrapped Knee (1st heartbreak)
I’m crying inside wanting to let it all pass
But no drops will be shed for tis nearly a scratch
Yet I sit here drowning that voice trying to speak
So it waits calmly and wise like a mother should be
Lungs of mine emptied as it penetrates the air
Screaming out the pain that’s been discovered
For I am a toddler with my first scrapped knee
So as you can see this means a lot to me
Yet the voice inside waiting for the commotion to pass
That motherly voice where sitting still is all she asks
She knows that a bandage will help ease the pain
And that the past will all be left the same
So stop the moaning and give into her nursing
Stop sitting in misery when you could be living
Forget what happened and give it another go
Life is worth living so don’t sit home alone..
