My Dreams

In my dreams I lay awake in a nice decorated room
listening to the sound of your voice
so soothing and calm like the ocean waves
your telling me it's okay to let your guard down at least sometimes
he says life's not a video game
you can't just restart anytime you feel its necessary
or when it gets all too real for you

In my dreams I'm at
the beach with you and other friends
enjoying the midnight breeze
we all are chatting it up
until you wrap your strong arms
around me and holds me close
your like my shelter after a bad storm

In my dreams once again
you appear as always
so focused and kind
always willing to help me in a bind
whenever my mind is in a twister
of questions and life's uncertainties
you make it all bearable in my dreams

In my dreams it does get confusing
because I don't fully understand what you be telling me
I wish I could understand your words
if I could just hear them outside my little dreams
I would be happy and content with hearing your voice
and seeing the smile of your face
one day I hope you smile at me the same in real life
as you do in my dreams
I do wonder what these dreams are telling me about you.....Don't you??
