Not for love, only to know I'm still human
The words that pour from my lips,
do not mean I care.
If I cared, I would tell you,
and I would not lie to you.
The magic that shoots from my fingertips,
could save you.
But that does not mean I will.
I occasionally use my heart,
a small percent for love, a very, very small percent,
and the rest for making sure I'm still human
Just making sure I feel bad
So I know I'm still here
Because that's all we have as humans
to know we are humans.
Feeling bad
Never feeling good
We've been told that we must have done something wrong if we feel good
So we have to check for that remorse,
And when I hurt you,
That was the only time I used my heart for you
Not to say I love you,
Just making sure I could feel
Because when you said it,
I did not feel
do not mean I care.
If I cared, I would tell you,
and I would not lie to you.
The magic that shoots from my fingertips,
could save you.
But that does not mean I will.
I occasionally use my heart,
a small percent for love, a very, very small percent,
and the rest for making sure I'm still human
Just making sure I feel bad
So I know I'm still here
Because that's all we have as humans
to know we are humans.

So we have to check for that remorse,
And when I hurt you,

Just making sure I could feel
Because when you said it,
I did not feel
