 What's so special,
About turning a year older?
Your problems are still there,
All you did was grow a little bolder.

What's so sweet about turning 16?
Your responsibilities bury you alive,
Put on them fake smiles, girls,
You'll need em to survive.

Presents and gifts,
Are they what you're waiting for?
Cars and perfumes,
New clothes galore,

Well sorry to burst your bubble,
Life isn't all spotlights and gems,
For those whom live in poverty,
Dreams are but famous brands.

I'm not calling them shallow,
Or calling myself deep,
Its just that I don't see the point,
Of calling others cheap.

So think before you act,
Before someone's really hurt,
Before you sink to that level,
The same with common dirt.
