Yesterday, I Cried...

Yesterday, I cried.

I'm telling you!
I got home, unhooked my bra and as my breasts fell out of it, so did my tears fall to the ground.

On my way home from school, a young girl of about 7 had caught my eye.
She was sitting on the curb, crying her eyes out.
I approached her and asked her what the matter was, and she said:

"My boyfriend dumped me... 2 days after I lost my virginity to him.
He had pressured me into doing it, and I wasn't ready; I mean, he's 16 and I'm 7...
He reminded me, as he constantly did, that he's merely dating me to raise my status.
I believed him...
I thought he'd love me forever, but after we did it he told me I'm too young for him and took me home.
Then he dumped me 2 days later."

Is this the sick society we live in?
Is this the future we are facing?
7-year-olds having sex, 7-year-olds dating significantly older boys?
7-year-olds in relationships to begin with?

There are mothers out there abandoning innocent bundles of joy.
There are men and women raping passersby.
There are murderers claiming the lives of others prematurely.
There are sons beating their own mothers up.
There are drug-infected communities that drown their sorrows and sniff their happiness.

Is this what the world has come to?

Is it too late for change?

Does pure happiness exist?
Does it exist?
Does it?
