Umbrellas are for cowards

It rained today

I skipped through the puddles

making a big splash

giggling and laughing

not a freaking care in the world

completely soaked

loving every drop

smiling up at the sky

skipping along

enjoying the day

seeing my reflection in the water

made me think of Aesop's Fables

no sour grapes

but damn,

I'm a fox!

then i remember

it was a dog that saw his reflection

I wrinkle my nose at the idea

and I skip on

rain keeps falling

I keep smiling

puddles gather at the sight of my boots

and I happily splash on through

soaked yet cleansed

of all negativity

for now

at

least

:)
