The Future of Sex

With the number
of pathways open
to interact
with other human beings,
I can see a day
when we may even
marry people
that we will
in reality
never even ever touch.  

Everything will be done
fully virtually
and the idea
that we would
ever have to suffer
through the smells
and indelicacies
of a live interaction,
as disgusting as
that may become
to us in that not so
distant future,
will become to us
anathema and unappealing,
unacceptable and revolting,
genuinely loathsome
and frightfully unattractive,
and so, until then, I think
that we should think rather seriously
about having
as much hot rum and butter
kama sutra interactivities
sticky wet and nasty
as we can possibly devour,
if nothing else
for the historic significance
of ending intimate contact
with a bang
instead of a whimper.
