Man in the mirror

Who's this,
Lookin at me,
The image is blury,
I can't quite see.

He says he's happy,
He claims to be kind,
Knows where he's going,
Has a stable mind.

Nothin to run from,
No fear of the past,
He lives in the moment,
He knows it won't last.

His wrists are clean,
No scars,
His heart is open,
No bars.

Who are you,
I sceam,
There's no way,
You can't be the man you seem.

He says the answer is in the question,
I'm a man you once knew,
Take a closer look,
I'm  you.

I'm the you that was lost,
So long ago,
You called me a phase,
That you did out grow.

I break down,
I fall to my knees,
There is a pain inside,
That no one sees.

I scream for him to help,
He slowly fades,
He leaves saying this,
You must be saved.

Not I nor anyone else can help,
You must save yourself,
You must save me as well,
Don't leave me on a shelf.

Happiness must be found,
It comes from within,
You have to let go,
Forget every sin.

Then he's gone,
As quick as he came,
From that moment on,
I would never be the same.

I will save him,
And myself,
I can't do it alone,
I will need help.

It will take time,
To regain what I lost,
But it must be done,
Or my life it will cost.
