The Faerie Path

Flying through the garden
On wings of turquoise beauty
A faerie, use to all things magic
Goes about her day-time duty.
With golden curls of perfect hair
And delicate, graceful moves
She wonders down the faerie path
In her tiny, faerie shoes.
So fond of this beautiful faerie-tale place
She seems to be confused.
Wondering down the faerie path
Among all others refused...
Oberon calls her, whispering softly
She knows her time is up.
Suddenly frightened by her near end
She whimpers like a pup.
She reaches the end of the faerie path
Shuddering against the cold.
She knows now she is meant to die
With a story left untold.
Fading with her dying magic
She cries out in frustration.
To be a fae told terrible lies
Only for demonstration.
