Beginning of Becoming
If I could place my arms around you I would
you live so far above your means it's hard for me to grasp on
And even if I could would you let me hold you
We have spoke over and over again
Nothing seems to pull you in
And time after time you seem to live a lie
But deep inside you and I both know the lie you lead is misleading
Forever wearing shades of gray
seem to be fading to black
Noticing more and more of your deception
You can fool a crowd that follow and applaud
Frozen in a daze
I'm not amazed
Envying the very people that once worshiped the ground you walked
Stalking the very types you seek to actually be
Searching with a search light for all that's in the blind
At least it appears that way
In fact it's right in front of your face
Shame on you
Can your eyes not open any wider
Fear rests inside your heart
Keeping you where you are
Stomping your feet like a toddler
Not sure of where your going, or who you are
Unbury, uncover, discover
