Espina Violeta

Growing alone in the dark, tangled jungle
Torn long ago from your beloved desert

Pretty blossoms with nectar sweet, so alluring
Hiding a thorn, the sad color of deep madness

Punishing lover’s deceit, issuing unfaithful warnings
A poisonous vengeance for a wrathful God’s betrayal

For the Great Queen, a black, numb, silent, awaken sleep
Her Bold Chevalier entombed sword less in walls of stone

Each delivered eternally to their own central private circle
For foolishly confusing willing submission with weakness

Finally, in the end, so redeemed, only i, Madeline, i escape
An Azure butterfly fluttering in endless fields of lavender
