Reluctant Traveler
I do what I must to make sure our lives don't careen. Off the road, we have chosen even though the future is unseen. Though this is not the life, I would have foreseen.
Nor one I would have chosen willingly to lead. Forever bogged down by those who are on my team. Constantly questioned because my methods were unclean.
Because they don't understand that the longer they wait the more I bleed. But it's worth it when their heads hit the pillow. And the lives they wake up to are almost serene.
But I can't help wondering about the glowing eyes that stare down on me. Will they show me the road that will one day lead me to my dreams.
