Buried Poem
Yesterday was one to remember
Sitting by a fire on a night's cold December
Time is still fleeing our hold
All the times we've shared made us so bold
Getting so close together
Never wanting to let go of another
Yet so far away
At least that's what you would always say
Time is a virtue
Making thankful for you
This is a sweet little poem I wrote
But you'll never read it since you died on that boat
I read this to myself whenever I visit you
Yes my dear love it's true
I come here once a month just to see
Make sure you know that you'll be with me
If I would've froze time
You'd still be mine
If time could be frozen.....
Sitting by a fire on a night's cold December
Time is still fleeing our hold
All the times we've shared made us so bold
Getting so close together
Never wanting to let go of another
Yet so far away
At least that's what you would always say
Time is a virtue
Making thankful for you
This is a sweet little poem I wrote
But you'll never read it since you died on that boat
I read this to myself whenever I visit you
Yes my dear love it's true
I come here once a month just to see
Make sure you know that you'll be with me
If I would've froze time
You'd still be mine
If time could be frozen.....
