There is No Rush
Pow! Off at the speed of light.
Blurred is the vision
Time goes quick like a rabbit
Memories fade in the blink of an eye
Moments are mere twinkles
Faster spinning the world goes
Winter quickly turns to summer
And Summer to winter
Change at an impossible pace
All for that of a dangerous race
Too fast are we with our acquitted minds
Our shadows only know the way
Behind us. Silent yet observant.
The colors glow and dim
Information a constant barrage.
When will the world learn
Things are better learned slowly
Little things turn to mountainous ripples
The cyan sky can be traveled many times over
Every second should be turned into an hour
When will the world learn
Skip a step on the steep stairs
Fall back into the hole of square one
Back to the basics of our humble beginnings
Learning to crawl, then to walk
When will the world learn
This flesh and bone is not a machine
No gears to grind, instead ligaments to bind
Hearts filled with viscous blood
Love and soul intertwined
So hit the break and take the chill pill
All too hurried leads to many ill
Take your paces elegantly with intelligence
Be amorous as if your days were your last
And take the world to see your own beauty in reality
