Any Given Rainbow
Deep as the ocean's
Infinite color,
Spectrums playing off
Your clear eyes,
Any given rainbow signifying
Your moods-- but
You don't see the shadows
Creeping around the
Crevices of your mind.
Do you mind if I smoke
After we fuck, or
Does that remain a sin
To you?
Disapproval of my
Filthy language makes me
Wonder how you
Became so pristine?
I'll blame the hood
For my crude behavior.
My father was never around,
So I can't let go
And your gospel doesn't reach
My closed conscience.
Albeit, you talk a good game
Though. When I look at your
Clear eyes, everything you say
Seems pure.
But if I ever care to dive
Deeper into the ocean,
I find nothing there.
