A Touch Of Melancholy
A touch of melancholy
Too real to ignore
Her pose reveals more sadness
Than in the words that transpire
The tears of this beauty
Destroy all others
Her weeping brings others
To lay in her wake
As she sits and remembers
A loss of one so fragile
A passer-by takes notice
Of the lake at her feet
He throws her a life line
To shed heartache abound
Her eyes translucent
With relief and with joy
“I’m here to take you
To where you belong
It’s been a virtuous time
Please come to me now”
Her years of tears
Now end with her love
He came to release her
From beyond his limbo
Together again
For so long it will last
Forever to the day
Her love returned now
Too real to ignore
Her pose reveals more sadness
Than in the words that transpire
The tears of this beauty
Destroy all others
Her weeping brings others
To lay in her wake
As she sits and remembers
A loss of one so fragile
A passer-by takes notice
Of the lake at her feet
He throws her a life line
To shed heartache abound
Her eyes translucent
With relief and with joy
“I’m here to take you
To where you belong
It’s been a virtuous time
Please come to me now”
Her years of tears
Now end with her love
He came to release her
From beyond his limbo
Together again
For so long it will last
Forever to the day
Her love returned now
