It's Always You

I will always say I love you
no matter the consequence.
I will place no one above you.
I simply won't... not the slightest chance.

I have you on a pedestal far above the rest.
You are worthy of this spot.
You are always first and never second best.
I love you quite a lot.

Don't ever think I'm not feeling all you are.
I am aware of your tiptoes at night.
Even though your love seems so very far.
You remain my sweet delight.

It's always you and has always been.
I can't change that though I've tried.
More than simple acquaintances or friends.
So many tears I've cried.

So never think you aren't at the forefront of my mind.
Etched firmly in my heart and soul.
A greater love I could not find.
You mean more to me than you'll ever know.
