Roasted Angels Au Naturel

 
Take a couple of freshly caught angels
remove halos and wings
which may be reserved  
for use as a garnish (optional)
 
Gut carefully
making sure none of that  
holier than thou righteousness
seeps out on to the flesh
 
Larger angels may be
split down the middle
to ensure uniform cooking times
 
Any religious appendages
such as bibles or crucifixes
should be discarded  
into a bottomless pit
 
If quick roasting is preferred
stoke up the fires of Hell to max
Impale on sharp skewers
and ensure even rotation of flesh  
to avoid over crisping
 
The angels are ready
when their bones begin  
to protrude through the skin  
which should have acquired  
a lovely shade of dark black  
 
Immediately before serving
sprinkle with powdered brimstone
and dust lightly with evil
finely chopped
