Muse-less

My mind is empty,
my thoughts are blank.
There is a fog surrounding me
Strangling my creativity.

I seek a muse,
but find my efforts in vain.
I'm struggling to manifest,
A story in my head.

But as I try to navigate
I find myself lost.
There are obsticles surrounding me
Opressing my imagination.

I am an artist without paints,
A musician out of tune.
Frustration settles in
Inspiration nowhere to be found.

I need a muse,
like a cold drink of water.
My mind is parched
I can't fight the dehydration.

And as I wither,
All hope fades,
I feel myself become bleaker,
My thoughts in shades of grey.

I sit here, wracking my brain,
picking it into bloody ruin,
Gouging it mercilessly in my search
But all I find is obstruction

I need words to survive,
Creativity is my salvation.
But I am forsaken,
Left to the abandonment of my mind
