After Me
My body may be in this place,
But my mind is far away
Off in the land of solitude.
This place is like a poison to myself,
All it does is harm me the longer I stay in here.
I have no reason to be here
Other than to be with you,
But darling I must go now.
It breaks me to say but i must leave.
I wish to be a wolf,
So I can run far away from this place
But still have the sense of knowledge
To know my way back to you.
My love you know I must go,
But you need not to stay here either.
This place doesn't need us; we don't need it.
So come away, leave this all behind.
I can't stay in this place much longer,
So show me your love is stronger,
And come running after me.

I like some of the imagery you've conjured up. It avoids the usual vomit worthy sap that gets pumped in to my eyes. I think you could do with tightening a few of lines up, as they read a little messy at the moment.
