a message
All this life I waited for someone like you
and then I was not surprised
understanding the mechanism
afterall I was just another
recurring cliche
[Solaris studies everyone-none are exceptions-rather expectations]
I was not really looking
for my eyes were
open
You
s-l-o-w-l-y
floated within me
slid thru my sternum
into my lifestream
[when you found one
of the million pores
in my skin]
elevated me with
radiant petals of
beauteous love
[the truest-purest]
I had never known
oneness as true as the moment
we gave birth to us
and saw ourselves reflected
in the endless duststorm
of starshine
Every moment we discover ourselves recombined
in our blessed eternities of tranquil
In all that timelessness
I often rediscover the truth
that I could never let go
for somehow you are the
zenith-the optimum high
from where the fear of falling
has hidden promises
of a memorable rebound
[a needy greedy lover I am]
So in a world of sparkling riches
and frightening remoteness
stay if you like
but
never
let
me
go
.

I know it's in upbeat, but this reads like a love poem. I'm not normally a fan of love poems (or "upbeat" ones) for all kinds of reasons, but I enjoyed this. It's beautiful and introspective and transcending in it's language, almost a spiritual adoration of the subject.

Thank you. A lot of my earlier poems were like this. This is how I started writing poetry, filled with optimism and the white light of the universe. Still there is a part within me intact which resembles that.:)
A lot of my own love poems dwell too much on have been and stink of self-deprecation and wallowing. The human love is selfish and the idea expressed here is light years away. Hence chose to hang it there in the other category.

Your first two words need something between them, either 'my' or 'this'. Personally, I would choose ' this' since it conveys an incarnation versus something of a more narrow view.
S8 L2 ' tranquil' should be ' tranquility'.
S10 L2 'fightening' should be 'frightening'.
This really is a beautiful piece, Sumeet.

I tend to use a little poetic license
once in a while and use adjectives like
'tranquil' as noun.[I had tried to use
'mesmer' as a noun form for 'mesmerize'
which is technically wrong.] Thought I
would get away with it.:)

Now mesmer is really intriguing, since Franz Mesmer is literally the root of ' mesmerize'. That topic of magnetism and energetic transference could make for an interesting piece.

I would be more than happy to have you in this corner. I have always been an admirer and most of the times I get so overwhelmed to read your poems.

The esoteric intrigues me to no end. Sometimes I think it seeps into my work too much. Most people find me difficult to read.

I think I somehow understand you when you say that people find it difficult. Not everyone's cup and it has its niche reader base IMO.
In my initial days I was overjoyed to have come across your poetry. I have never seen anyone write poems embelished with the esoteric and transcedent truth such as yours.[Not here and not elsewhere, though I am sure there would be.] More importantly you have been consistent which shows growth and maturity.
Personally I had not read any poet except for Bukowski until recent times when I have started exploring. Rexroth is one poet I have found across and I have enjoyed his poetry. [ I believe many from the Beat generation wrote on Zen and religious themes.] I would really love to know more from you. In due time. :)
