It All Starts With the Jailhouse

It was just another day
In the jailhouse the sheriff would say

It seems he hadn't a clue
As to why the inmates shook into other cells..do you?

It seems this old jailhouse was haunted..
Possessed by all the souls left unwanted

Once there was a deadly fight
An inmate went nuts and killed all in sight

Sure the sheriff and his deputies came running
But it seems the nuts inmate was more cunning

He ripped the badge from ones shirt
To slit the others' throat feeling no hurt

Next he slip a gun from a holster
And blew brains and blood all over a simple poster

He killed the rest then
But this time he used his fist with no sin

After the inmate was done
He refused to run

He sat in the floor coloring the walls
And heard the deads' cries echo down the halls

The next town over called a penitentiary
They came to shove him in a padded sanctuary

But once they removed him from the small prison
He seemed to have no memory no matter what the cops mention

They gave him test after test
He was fine "normal" unlike the rest

So why was he so insane and in raged and harassed
It seems the inmate was possessed

The towns people say once even the Sheriff went insane
It was a cold Christmas eve...he laid on the floor sucking on a candy cane

He waited till it was nice and sharp
Then put on music...of a mellowing harp

Slid open the doors to each cell
Once one walked out he'd make sure they'd have no story to tell

The first one got a sweet surprise in his left eye
Shoved in far enough so his screams would die

The second a bullet to the head
He fell to the ground laying dead

The third was to scared to get out of the dark
So the Sheriff ripped out his heart just to leave his mark

Crime in that small town was always slow
But it all starts with the jailhouse you know
