Sunshine

Sunshine

Come back to me

It’s so cold

So cold

So cold

It’s as if I’m not alive

I can see my breath

Hear his pulse in the stillness of the night

In the stillness

I can hear the teardrop screaming as it

Falls into oblivion

I look at him

His sleeping silhouette and I shiver

At the thought

Of his frozen kiss

His burning cold breath down my lungs

His stone cold grasp

I wish the sunlight would come

And melt him

So he wouldn’t be so cold

So cold

So he wouldn’t be so cold

So I’d have something almost human to hold

Let the truth be told

There is no sunshine in my soul

He took it away

He made me promise to obey

And there isn’t a star in the sky

That could grant my wish

To turn back

The clock

And reverse

What I have done

If only the sun would come out

And destroy this vampire

Sucking my heart out dry

Giving me just enough

Poison to paralyze

Not enough to conceal the pain

Just enough to conceal the pleasure from

His fangs

His fangs

Forcing itself into me

I wish I couldn’t bleed

He made me his

And led me like a lamb to the slaughter

If only the sun would come out

And let me see clearly

The mistakes I’ll always regret,

The freezing cold master of my heart,

And my own human weaknesses

I have goosebumps now

So please let the

Sun rise.
