Down Here

Hardly a good thought left now
and I always wondered how
The lights from the ceiling never did crash down
As I prayed up to them to give me some kind of a sign
Too many silences now, I feel almost out of line
and almost a critic of the life around me
Yeah sure sometimes you found me
Crying laying on the earth
Waiting for it to push back
To give me some kind of lift
Some kind of life
Some kind of happiness sprouting up like a tree
But fuck the last sentence you said to me
Cutting me down, until the world spirals from around
And my heart beats once more for a second
See that one second was for you
And you just missed your cue
So walk and keep walking from the light shining on your life
Disappear through darkness
And I can't even look at the kids playing on the swings
because these are the things that remind me
That colors of beauty
are just different shades of black
But I'm grey, I'm the area you get lost in
And I've exhausted this same song and dance
How many times do I feel the strong blow of chance
Telling me to come back its way only to throw me off
The same wind guiding me
The same wind pushing me off my cliff of reason to my fate
I`m sorry I was late
But traffic in this state has about the equal weight
As the the things holding me down
I`m used to looking at the ground
So don`t tell me to climb
Up to your high horse where I`ll get lost
I like it down here
The air is clear
Now ride off and don`t come back
I'll start my life here
